Who we are

Trigger Bell is a trading name of Arcalas Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 04753689, with its registered office at 8 Berber Road, London, SW11 6RZ. Arcalas Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZA053921.

If you have any questions about this policy or about your personal data, email us at hello@triggerbell.com.

The short version

Our website does not have a checkout. Trigger Bell is sold on Amazon, with Arcalas Ltd as the seller, as stock arrives in each Amazon store. Amazon also processes your personal data under its own privacy notice.

We process the information you send when you contact us, including what we need for warranty claims and replacement deliveries, and the email address and regions you give us when you ask to be told when Trigger Bell is available or join our mailing list. Because we are the seller on Amazon, this policy also covers the customer and order information Amazon makes available to us. We also process technical website information and, with your consent, analytics data.

We use analytics cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner, and we never sell your personal data.

Information we collect

When you contact us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include, such as your proof of purchase and photos for a warranty claim. The form sends your message to our inbox, and a copy is kept in our website's form records.

When you ask to be notified. If you sign up on our Buy page to hear when Trigger Bell is available, we receive your email address, the regions you chose (UK, Europe and/or US), and the date and time you gave your consent. Your sign-up is kept in our website's form records and sent to our inbox. If you also tick the box for news and offers, we add you to our mailing list.

When you join our mailing list. If you ask for our news and offers, on our Buy page or through an earlier sign-up form on our website, we hold your email address, any name you gave us, and when and how you signed up. Our email service, Brevo, also records whether each email is delivered and opened and which links are clicked, so we can see how our emails perform.

When we arrange a warranty replacement. We use your name, delivery address, contact details, proof of purchase and claim information to assess the claim and send your replacement. We share the delivery details needed with the postal or courier provider.

When you buy from us on Amazon. As the seller, we may receive or access your order reference, product and transaction details, buyer messages and the customer contact or delivery information Amazon makes available for that order. The information available depends on how the order is fulfilled. We use it for order support, returns, legal obligations and claims, not for marketing.

When you visit our website. Our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages requested, so the site can be delivered securely.

If you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics records how you use the site, for example which pages you view and for how long, using an identifier stored in a cookie rather than your name.

Your cookie choices. Our cookie banner remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies.

When you click a link to Amazon. Our "Buy" links include our Amazon Associates tag, so Amazon can tell that you came from our site. Amazon may set its own cookies once you are on its website. Affiliate reporting is separate from the customer and order information we may access as the seller, described above.

To answer general messages. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and supporting customers.

To fulfil our sales contracts and warranty commitments. Where you are a party to the relevant contract, our legal basis is contractual necessity, including processing claims, arranging replacements and handling returns. Where we assist someone who is not a party to that contract, such as a gift recipient, we rely on our legitimate interest in providing customer support and honouring product guarantees.

To tell you when Trigger Bell is available in the regions you chose, and to send you news and offers if you asked for them. Our legal basis is your consent. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@triggerbell.com.

To keep required accounting and tax records. Our legal basis is compliance with our legal obligations.

To run the website and keep it secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website.

To understand how the website is used and improve it (Google Analytics). Our legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by selecting "Manage consent" on any page.

To keep a record of your cookie choices. Our legal basis is our legal obligation under the cookie rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

To comply with the law and to establish or defend legal claims. Our legal basis is legal obligation or our legitimate interests, as applicable.

We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. We send marketing emails only to people who have asked for them.

Information you provide for general enquiries is voluntary. For a claim or replacement, we need enough information to verify the purchase, understand the problem and arrange delivery; without it we may be unable to complete your request.

Cookies

We use cookies that are essential for the website to work, such as the cookie that records your cookie choices. We use analytics cookies only if you accept them. Our cookie information, available through "Manage consent" on each page, explains the cookies and similar technologies used, their purposes, providers and duration. You can change or withdraw your choice there at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Loading or playing a video can disclose technical information, including your IP address, to YouTube and may involve cookies or similar technologies. Privacy-enhanced mode does not prevent all data processing.

Who we share your information with

We use the following providers. Where a provider acts as our processor, it processes personal data on our instructions under the relevant agreement. A provider may also act as an independent controller for particular activities governed by its own privacy notice; this can include YouTube and Amazon:

We may also share information with our professional advisers, with authorities where the law requires it, or with a buyer if we sell our business.

We never sell your personal data or share it with others for their own marketing.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Google (including Google Analytics, YouTube and Google Workspace) and Cloudflare are based in the United States and certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. Elementor is based in Israel and Brevo in France, both of which the UK also recognises as providing adequate protection. For any other restricted transfer, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. You can contact us for details of the mechanism that applies to your data and how to obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards, with confidential information redacted where necessary.

How long we keep your information

We may retain relevant records longer where required by law or necessary for an ongoing dispute, and restrict their use accordingly. The periods above apply to our records; independent controllers have their own retention arrangements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing, you may have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email hello@triggerbell.com. We normally respond without charge and within one month. Where the law permits an extension, a pause to obtain necessary clarification, a reasonable fee or refusal, we will explain why and any applicable next steps. We may need information to verify your identity before disclosing personal data.

If you're unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Our website links to other websites, including Amazon, YouTube, Facebook and X. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they use your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
